ChikChik Prohibited Events & Transactions Policy

ChikChik is a platform for in-person events. To protect attendees, organizers, payment partners, and the platform, certain events, transactions, and conduct are not allowed on ChikChik.

This policy applies to all organizers, listings, ticket sales, payouts, attendee activity, and related use of the ChikChik website, mobile apps, and services.

1. General rule

You may not use ChikChik for any event, activity, transaction, or listing that is illegal, deceptive, unsafe, unauthorized, infringing, or prohibited by our payment partners, card networks, or internal risk rules.

Even if something is not specifically listed below, ChikChik may restrict, remove, pause, or refuse any listing or account that creates elevated legal, financial, operational, reputational, consumer-protection, or chargeback risk.

2. Illegal activity

  • Any event or transaction that violates local, state, federal, or international law
  • Events promoting or facilitating criminal activity
  • Stolen goods or stolen ticket activity
  • Human trafficking, exploitation, coercion, or forced labor
  • Bribery, corruption, money laundering, sanctions evasion, or tax evasion
  • Any attempt to use ChikChik to disguise unlawful payments as ticket sales

3. Drugs, controlled substances, and paraphernalia

  • Controlled substances or illegal drugs
  • Drug paraphernalia
  • Events centered on the sale or distribution of illegal drugs
  • Any listing that promotes unlawful drug use or unlawful drug sales

4. Weapons, explosives, and dangerous items

  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks where restricted, or similar dangerous items
  • Events involving illegal weapons activity
  • Listings promoting the sale or transfer of prohibited weapons or dangerous devices

5. Adult sexual services and explicit sexual commerce

  • Prostitution, escort services, sexual services, or commercial sexual activity
  • Sex trafficking or exploitative sexual content
  • Events primarily centered on unlawful adult services
  • Explicit sexual services or activities prohibited by law or payment-partner rules

6. Gambling and gaming restrictions

The following are prohibited unless expressly approved in writing by ChikChik and fully lawful in the relevant jurisdiction:

  • Gambling
  • Betting or wagering
  • Raffles
  • Sweepstakes
  • Lottery-style activity
  • Games of chance involving restricted prize structures

7. Financial services, money movement, and disguised transactions

You may not use ChikChik to process or move funds unrelated to a genuine event ticket sale.

  • Peer-to-peer transfers disguised as ticket purchases
  • Cash advance activity
  • Debt collection
  • Loan payments
  • Investment solicitation
  • Money transmission or payment aggregation unrelated to real event attendance
  • Third-party payment processing on behalf of others outside ChikChik’s approved flow

8. Fraud, deception, and misleading listings

  • Fake events
  • Nonexistent venues
  • Misleading event descriptions
  • Unauthorized resale or sale of tickets you do not have the right to sell
  • Bait-and-switch listings
  • Misrepresentation of performers, guests, venue access, amenities, or timing
  • False urgency, fake scarcity, or other deceptive sales practices
  • Identity fraud or impersonation

9. Unauthorized or unverified events

ChikChik may require proof that an event is legitimate before sales are allowed or before payouts are released.

If requested documents are not provided promptly and satisfactorily, ChikChik may pause sales, delay payouts, remove the listing, refund attendees, or suspend the organizer account.

  • Venue confirmation
  • Permits
  • Insurance
  • Performer agreements
  • Government-issued identification
  • Business verification documents
  • Other proof reasonably requested by ChikChik

10. Hate, violence, and harmful conduct

  • Terrorist content or support
  • Hate groups or extremist organizations
  • Events promoting violence, threats, or intimidation
  • Harassment, doxxing, or targeted abuse
  • Content that incites violence or serious harm
  • Child sexual abuse material or any exploitative content involving minors

11. Intellectual property infringement

  • Unauthorized use of trademarks, logos, artist names, or venue names
  • Selling tickets to events you are not authorized to organize or distribute
  • Infringing copyrighted promotional materials, branding, or media

12. Unsafe, high-risk, or restricted events

ChikChik may restrict or prohibit events that create elevated safety, legal, refund, or chargeback risk, including events involving:

  • Unclear or unverifiable venues
  • High likelihood of non-delivery
  • Significant crowd-safety concerns
  • Missing permits or missing venue authorization
  • Repeated organizer complaints or disputes
  • Unusually high ticket prices without sufficient legitimacy documentation
  • Excessively long lead times before event fulfillment
  • Any category our payment partners or internal risk team determine cannot be supported

13. Organizer and attendee conduct

  • Circumventing ChikChik’s checkout, refund, or payout systems
  • Asking buyers to pay off-platform for a ChikChik event
  • Offering off-platform card refunds for purchases made through ChikChik
  • Using false identities or false business information
  • Interfering with platform security, verification, or fraud monitoring
  • Abusing support, chargeback, or refund systems
  • Engaging in harassment, threats, or abuse toward attendees, organizers, or ChikChik personnel

14. Enforcement rights

If ChikChik believes an event, transaction, account, or payout creates risk or violates this policy, we may take any action we consider appropriate.

ChikChik may act before, during, or after an event, and may do so without prior notice where necessary to protect attendees, payment systems, or the platform.

  • Rejecting or removing listings
  • Pausing ticket sales
  • Delaying or withholding payouts
  • Requiring reserves or additional verification
  • Cancelling listings
  • Refunding attendees
  • Suspending or terminating accounts
  • Reporting activity to payment partners, venues, regulators, or law enforcement where appropriate

16. Relationship to other policies

This policy is in addition to the Terms of Service, Refund & Cancellation Policy, Organizer Agreement, Payments Addendum, and Privacy Policy. By using ChikChik, you agree to comply with this policy and to cooperate with any review, verification, or enforcement action.
